To help stop train-related deaths, Metro Trains in Melbourne, Australia has started a Dumb Ways to Die PSA campaign which features a cheery little song by Tangerine Kitty and a cute animated music video.

 This is not doubt that Apple always makes their commercials and ads very clear and simple with reasons and meanings. The new iPad mini also follows this mission. The greatest part in this commercial is not the new iPad mini itself but the song their choose-Heart and Soul. The song is form the movie- Big (1988) Tom Hanks. In this movie, Tom Hanks,a 12-year-old kid, has been transformed into a 30-year-old man and worked in the MacMillan Toy Company.

The concept of iPad mini commercial (big & small) matches the scene in this movie, which Tom Hanks was playing the giant piano with his boss in the toy store. This song became famous because of this movie. Also, it became the important song for piano beginners.

Even though I am not very interested in the iPad mini, this commercial motivated me to go online and check it out.

I might have some personal bias, because I am from Taiwan. The concept of this Volvo commercial is actually not exciting. But I LIKE IT. The concept and the scripted voice over are just perfect. it is a strong Storytelling Strategy. Yes, we've never expected to see an Asian American in NBA, and he made it.
